Satisfied Customers .... and their horses!

Karen E. N. Hayes DVM, MS

Dr. Hayes writes in her latest Book "How To Be The Perfect Horsekeeper":

Dr. Karen E. N. Hayes"...horses that are fed frequent, small meals are definitely more relaxed, even-tempered, and emotionally stable. They chew more slowly, and more completely.... One horse at my facility, who chokes about once every three weeks, is still fed his usual daily amount, but when divided into twelve feedings it literally isn't enough to choke on, And, because he eats more calmly, and chews more completely, the risk of choke goes down even more. As of this writing, it's been eight months since the last time he choked."

"The Agpro Pro Feeder is a high quality, stainless steel, automatic grain feeder that can be programmed to feed as often as twelve times a day. This level of frequency is especially beneficial when considering the high glycemic index of most concentrated horse feeds."

Shawn and Anita V

I visited Shawn at his facility this fall, he is a professional horse trainer and racer, this means he is demanding of his equipment, he expects results- his livelihood depends upon performance! He has a lovely family.  Good luck at the track!

“The Agpro Pro Feeder has changed our lives! The fact that the feeders handle the feeding chores is a great relief for our family. I have a busy schedule training Standard Bred racehorses. I have more time for chores and family. I currently feed 3 times a day, but I plan on gradually changing the feeding schedule to more and smaller meals. Agpro service has been great, I will add feeders to my paddocks this spring.” Shan V barn

Lauren and Kevin N

I met Lauren and Kevin the fall of '04.  They have had their Pro Feeders for about one year.   Lauren feeds her horses 10 times a day.  Her husband Kevin built a very nice barn for their horses.

Lauren and KevinLauren says: “I compete in Hunter/Jumper competitions, train horses and young riders, board horses and raise a family. The Agpro Pro Feeders are an indispensable tool for the proper care of my horses. I now have my horses on a 10 times a day feeding schedule and I have noticed a number of benefits. The horses are calmer and more willing when trained. Some of my horses are prone to colic and the frequent small meals are a great benefit to them. I recommend the feeders to my students.” Lauren and Kevin

Janet M

Janet M and the ProfeederWe saw Janet at the 2004 World Championship Appaloosa Show. This is what she had to say about her Profeeder:

"My work schedule has always been erratic with some days lasting well into the evening and I want to ride when I get home. Options are a cranky and hungry horse or feed and try to ride on a full stomach, which is not a good option.

Also I lost my beloved QH who I owned since he was a weanling to colic in 1992 and feel very strongly that the way most people feed is very wrong and pre disposes to colic. With your PRO Feeder I can reduce the amount fed per feeding and then feed more frequently which is more like natural conditions for the horse. Your feeders are far superior to others I have found on the market and only wish I had found you earlier."

Prima and his owner Linda

Linda bought Prima off the race track 23 years ago. They competed in cross country events for 10 years, now Prima, age 33, is retired. Because of his age, a major surgery and heart problems, Prima needs special care. Linda leases an old barn with adjoining pasture in a very picturesque part of Connecticut. Because of the distance from her home to Prima’s home, Linda can visit only once a day. For this reason the Agpro ‘automatic horse feeder’ was purchased.

Linda says:

"Now I can feed him several times a day, at his age this is a great benefit. In the winter I can add feedings to keep his weight up. Even with his poor teeth and other health problems, I can control his weight by simply adding more or less feedings with my automatic horse feeder."

"My veterinarian is very impressed. I am completely delighted. Everyone says he looks fantastic for his age!"

Marcus D. and his dog

BIg Dog and Pro FeederMarcus bought his ProFeeder in the fall of '04 for his lab, although not a horse he is almost as big as one.

Marcus says:

"ProFeeder working great for my dog.  Hasn't missed a feeding for 6 months.  I have had no  problems whatsoever. I recommended the automatic feeder to co-worker.  He purchased an automatic feeder and he loves his as well.  Thanks ProFeeder."
